Sodium Polyacrylate
for Building & Constructions
Product description
Sodium polyacrylate is a white or light yellow particle or powder, odorless and tasteless. It slowly dissolves in water to form an extremely viscous transparent solution, with a viscosity of about 15-20 times that of carboxymethyl cellulose sodium (CMC) and sodium alginate. It has good alkali resistance and heat resistance, small viscosity changes over time, and is not easy to decay. It can be used in multiple fields, and its chemical properties are also widely used in the field of Bentonite Improver, Putty Powder Thickening Agent and Concrete Thickener Component. Our sodium polyacrylate is comparable to Japanese sodium polyacrylate product.
Application
Sodium Polyacrylate Dissolution Method: Stir and slowly add sodium polyacrylate powder evenly into normal temperature water (preferably soft water) at 20-50 ℃ (note: do not add a large amount at once, and sprinkle the adhesive powder into the weighed warm water instead of pouring water into the adhesive powder, otherwise it will form interlaced gel clusters that are difficult to dissolve). Keep it warm and stir until it dissolves into a uniform solution. The solution concentration is generally around 0.2%, and then adjust it up and down according to the actual situation. The dissolution time is about 0.5 hours.
Bentonite Improver
1. Improving chemical compatibility: Sodium polyacrylate can enhance the chemical compatibility of bentonite, thereby improving the hydraulic properties of polymer modified bentonite sand mixtures.
2. Improving hydraulic performance: Through modification, the hydraulic conductivity of bentonite is reduced, exhibiting excellent self-healing ability. Even after multiple wet and dry cycles, it can maintain a very low hydraulic conductivity.
3. Improving swelling and impermeability: In high salt or strong acid-base solutions, the swelling and impermeability of sodium polyacrylate modified bentonite are improved, enhancing its application potential in complex environmental conditions.
4. Synthetic super absorbent composite materials: Bentonite combined with sodium polyacrylate can be used to prepare super absorbent composite materials, which have a large water absorption rate and a fast water absorption rate, and can be used in various fields.
5. Enhanced salt resistance: Sodium polyacrylate modified bentonite can enhance the salt resistance of bentonite waterproof blankets and improve their application performance in saline alkali environments.
6. Adsorption of heavy metal ions: Modified bentonite has good adsorption performance for heavy metal ions such as Pb (II) and Cu2+, and can be used for water treatment and heavy metal pollution control.
